The Big Bang – Poems

Creation

In the beginning
There was Eternity
Limitless and unbound by time or space
In this depth of eternity there was a Painter
With an explosive burst of energy, this Painter painted beauty
Filling the dark canvas of space with scattered sources of creation
Glowing dots in the black expanse called stars
Attracted to these stars, worlds began to form
Somewhere deep within a swirling nebula
A milky galaxy conjured a bridge in the heavens
On this bridge, a world became by the name of Earth
It formed compactly, made up of stardust and a particle called life
From this life came the trees and plants
From this life came great creatures large and small
From this life came a child
They exist on this world as small blips irrelevant to time or space
Bursts of energies composed of cosmic material
Unique puzzle pieces
Physical forms of one single entity
Beautiful beings with the power of life
They gaze up at the stars from whence they came and understand
They are
One.

The Painting

A floating orb in the sea of space
Scattered above is a canvas of stars
With an explosion of gas, we saw its birth
But on this planet, humanity dug scars

Ceaselessly tumbling through the universe
We dance with tides alongside the moon
Bustling with life, alone in the galaxy
We’re beautifully rare, we’ll see that soon

Megiddo

There will come a day when the light dies in this world
The stars will vanish from the sky
And like before, when the waters flooded this earth
Humanity and its evils will be washed away
Cleansed not by the tides, but by the searing flame
From the sky will come a great mass of fire and smoke
A cloud of ash will engulf the land
Crops and forests will lay barren and scorched
A flame like no other will devour the earth
But fear not.
One will be saved
And in this One, there will hold every quality known to man
The darkness, the light, the hope, the fear
And in this One, humanity will be given a second chance
Do not seek this One
For they are you

Terror
This was the world that we were born into
A swirling storm of smoke and fire
It is all we’ve ever known
From planes to bombs to guns
Just a world run by
Terror

Flame Imperishable

Burning is the flame that swallows my soul
Neither is it vibrant, nor does it dance
Rather, it is a pale blue, flickering and fading like the moon
In this flame, I seek the truth
Of trust, of happiness, of love
But in this flame, the truth shall hide
Until one day, One comes to pull it out

Burning is the flame that swallows my soul
Neither is it searching to be ignored, nor is it seeking to be put out
Rather, it wants to be fed
In this flame, I seek the truth
Of galaxies, of passion, of youth
But in this flame, the truth shall hide
Until one day, One comes to pull it out

Burning is the flame that swallows my soul
Neither does it shine in the heavens, nor does it fuel Earth’s core
Rather, it is seen in the reflection of your eyes
In this flame, I seek the truth
Of time, of hope, of touch
But in this flame, the truth always hid
Until one day, One came to pull it out

Burning is the flame that swallows my soul

Rebirth

In the end
There was an exhausted Painter
Who looked at their creation and painted a smile
Beauty, passion, love
It was all there
Hatred, fear, doubt
It was there too
The perfect painting full of flaws
So the Painter tipped black ink and let the universe get swallowed
With a ghastly display of gravitational suction
Darkness consumed it all
Stars, nebulae, galaxies
Life
All of it suddenly gone
Fear not
Said the Painter to the dark
Carefully dipping the brush into ink
Flinging globs of color
They wrote one simple phrase
In the beginning
